From the birthplace of wine

The South Caucasus region is considered to be the birthplace of wine. Archaeologists have discovered the oldest wine making facility in Armenia, along with grape residue in clay jars in Georgia, and signs of grape domestication in eastern Turkey – all dating back to the time between 8000 B.C. and 4100 B.C.
